A boiling lava sun rose this morning.
Slashes of glowing tangerine light shone through ranks of dark gray-purple clouds. The sun, half risen, bulged over the trees and scorched the horizon black. The crisp autumn air gave pause to the moment — a few seconds kept forever in memory.
The quiet beauty of the world bathed in that first morning light is wonderous to behold. It must be said that savoring the unembellished offerings of nature can be more pleasing than experiencing anything created by humanity.
